The short answer
Valhalla is the one place in Helen where a stay feels more resort than roadside. You're up on a hill in the Innsbruck golf community, a few minutes from the Main Street crowds, with a golf course out the window and the Nacoochee Valley and Blue Ridge views beyond it. If you want a spa day, a nice dinner and a quiet room, this is the booking to look at first.
The resort markets itself as a boutique hotel, and at 25 suites it's small enough that the staff can keep track of you. It overlooks the Nacoochee Valley and the Blue Ridge, and it's close to local wineries and historic sites, so it works as a base for a wine-trail weekend too.

Caledonia is the main dining room, serving Southern classics with a modern twist and locally sourced ingredients. The Sky Bar sits on the top floor with views of the golf course and the Blue Ridge, and serves dinner, drinks and wine. For a longer evening, book the chef's table at Caledonia: four courses are $100, five $125 and six $150 per person before tax and gratuity, with wine pairings at $60 to $90. Seasonal events appear on the resort's events calendar. As of October 2026 it lists a Valentine's dinner (February 12 to 14, 2027) and an Easter brunch (March 28, 2027), both by reservation, plus Mother's Day and Father's Day meals and a July 4 pool party.
Solasta Spa
The Solasta Spa is open Tuesday through Sunday, 10 AM to 4:30 PM, with later appointments possible on request. The menu covers massage, head spa treatments, clinical skincare, nails, body treatments and energy work. Two signature treatments are listed with prices: the Heavenly Head Spa Experience is $150 for 50 minutes, and the Sautee Rainforest Steam/Shower Experience is $65 for one person or $130 for a couple (45 minutes). Golf and things to do on the property
The Valhalla Golf Club at 664 Bahn Innsbruck is an 18-hole, par 72 course that's open to the public from 8 AM to 6 PM daily. Listed yardages are 6,502 from the blue tees, 5,472 from the gold and 4,725 from the red, and the signature 15th drops about 150 feet. Book through GolfNow or call (706) 878-2100.
Off the course, the resort's activities page lists virtual golf simulators, one tennis court and two pickleball courts, bocce, a three-quarter-mile forest trail from the hotel entrance, and painting sessions at the Little Chapel Art Studio (free collaborative sessions Thursday 1 to 3 PM; Saturday classes are $30 plus $15 for supplies, so call first).
