The longest-running Oktoberfest in the South has been a Helen tradition since 1970. Spanning nearly three months, this authentic German celebration features live polka and oompah bands, traditional Bavarian dancing, imported German beer, hearty food, and a festive atmosphere that fills the Festhalle every Thursday through Sunday evening. Thousands of visitors don their lederhosen and dirndls each year to raise a stein and join the fun.
