Luxury Resorts and Lodges Near Helen

Helen isn't a big resort town, and that works in its favor. The upscale places here are small enough that you notice the staff and the setting: a spa on a ridge, a bed and breakfast with mountain ridgelines out the window, or a private cabin with a sauna. The Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest starts a few minutes from town, which is the real luxury.

Valhalla is the one to book if you want a resort day inside Helen's limits: the Solasta Spa, the Sky Bar, Caledonia and the golf course are all on the property. Both Lucille's and Sylvan Valley put you in the Sautee Nacoochee area, a few minutes from Helen but a lot quieter. Lucille's Mountain Top Inn & Spa is a luxury bed and breakfast on a mountain overlooking the Blue Ridge ridgelines, with gourmet breakfasts and a day spa next door. For privacy, a cabin beats a hotel. Cedar Creek Cabin Rentals says each cabin sits on an acre or more, with no shared walls, and its listings mention hot tubs, jacuzzi baths, saunas and pool tables. Pinnacle Cabin Rentals sorts its cabins into luxury, riverside and dog-friendly groups, with hot tubs, fireplaces and gourmet kitchens in the luxury group.
